Fostering Trooper

Meet Trooper: A Tale of Resilience and Love

Trooper’s got the wiggles, the snuggles, and a PhD in stealing hearts — all he needs now is a family

The Day Trooper was found

Trooper’s journey has been incredible: Found emaciated, his chances of survival were uncertain. After eight months of recovery at Central Baldwin Veterinary Hospital, he was strong again — but boarding had left its mark. The vet noticed early signs of kennel syndrome and reached out to the rescue, Zeke’s Rescued Paws. Trooper urgently needed a foster or adoption family.

Now in foster care with us, Trooper is thriving! He’s sweet, trainable, and loves learning new things. From near death to playful, healthy, and full of love, he’s ready for the forever family he deserves.

The Day I brought Trooper home to foster.

🐾 A Note from Trooper 🐾

Hi, I’m Trooper!
I’m a big-hearted boxer/bulldog mix who’s been through a lot, but I’m finally ready to find my forever family.

  • Kids & people? I LOVE them. People are my favorite thing in the world.

  • Other dogs? Well… I’m still learning. I can get protective, which has caused a few scuffles in the past, but I’m working hard on my manners and I’ve already made big improvements with guidance from my Foster Mom.

  • Food? Oh yes, I’ll do just about anything for a treat.

  • Training? I listen really well and want to please, so I pick things up quickly.

  • Energy? I’ll give you some zoomies here and there, but I’m mostly a chill, lazy boy who loves to relax.

I may do best in a home where I can be the only pet and protect my people. If you give me love and a little structure, I’ll give you loyalty, cuddles, and a lifetime of devotion.
